TLDR: Hyperliquid Policy Center and Multicoin Capital have filed a joint comment backing the CFTC's proposed framework for prediction markets. Their main argument is simple. Clear federal rules are better than regulatory uncertainty. They also say prediction markets should stay under the CFTC rather than a patchwork of state gambling laws, since these are peer-to-peer trades on an exchange, not bets against the house. They've also suggested the CFTC provide clearer guidance on how contracts are evaluated and publish the reasoning behind every review decision. Hyperliquid already launched its own onchain prediction markets in May and wants the same clear, tech-neutral rules applied across onchain derivatives.
