Volume tells you how many tokens changed hands, but it says nothing about who's doing the buying. A token can trade millions of times per day while only a few wallets actually own the supply—that's the difference between activity and real demand. Imagine one whale with 50% of the tokens constantly trading with their own bot accounts across different exchanges. The volume looks explosive, but there's no new money coming in. Meanwhile, a smaller token with genuine retail adoption might show lower volume because people actually hold their coins instead of churning them endlessly. Real demand means fresh capital entering the market and new participants willing to buy at higher prices. High volume can mask the opposite: market makers and insiders creating artificial churn to make things look liquid. This is why savvy traders check wallet concentration, on-chain activity, and exchange inflows—not just the big volume number that gets advertised. When volume spikes without new money, that's not a bull signal—it's usually just hot potato, not hot chickens laying golden eggs. True demand moves prices sustainably because it comes from conviction, not just someone's trading bot. @SolanaFndn
