GM everyone, here’s a quick update on today’s key highlights: Brent crude rose about 3%, surpassing $95/barrel as shipping risks in the Red Sea reignited. Alphabet ($GOOG) reported revenue of $119.8 billion, with Google Cloud up 82%. However, shares fell approximately 3.4% after hours as the company raised its AI capex forecast to $195–205 billion. Tesla ($TSLA) also dropped over 4% after hours: although revenue reached around $28 billion, operating profit margin fell to just 1.4%, and free cash flow turned negative. AI, Optimus, and Cybercab remain compelling narratives, but right now Tesla is burning cash faster than it’s growing profitability.
