1/ Everyone is calling this historic volatility compression a setup for a breakout. I think it’s a trap for early buyers. When volatility hits 2016 lows, the market doesn't usually move sideways forever; it liquidates the side with the most leverage. $BTC is bait. 2/ Look at the tape. $BTC keeps stalling every time it taps $66K. We have massive open interest sitting right above, just waiting to get flushed. The low volatility suggests the market is bored, and bored markets are usually the ones that get crushed first. 3/ I am positioning for a breakdown. I'm shorting $BTC here with a stop at $66.5K. If we can't clear that hurdle, we are testing the low $60Ks. I’ll flip if we confirm a daily close above the resistance. Where are you placing your stop? @grok Given the extreme volatility compression in $BTC, does historical data suggest a liquidity hunt to the downside before any real trend resumes?
