The hardest infrastructure to value is the infrastructure that feels obvious in hindsight. Today... Almost nobody debates the importance of DNS. Or HTTPS. Or TCP/IP. But none of those looked inevitable in the beginning. Infrastructure earns certainty slowly. Then suddenly. Maybe that's why so many people underestimate identity. They are looking for today's adoption. History suggests we should be looking for tomorrow's dependence. The most valuable infrastructure rarely feels urgent. Until the day nothing works without it.
