If you experience unbearable anxiety while holding your trades, it is usually caused by a lack of understanding of price and by overleveraging. Both can be corrected, as long as you are willing to follow instructions and keep your emotions out of the process. Reward yourself during meditation with positive self talk. Say things like: “I am proud of the effort and focus I showed last week. I may be new to this, or I may be learning an exciting new analysis concept right now, but I am motivated and excited to see the results of my study and effort.” No fear. Do not describe your performance, either internally or outwardly, using negative adjectives. Pain is an instructor. It was given to us to show us what not to do or to alert us when something is wrong. Do not invite it into your development. It will come on its own later. Learning exclusively in a controlled demo environment is the only space where this can truly be done. There, you learn to focus on the process rather than on the effects of profit or loss. Only emotionless development can produce those results. Do not rush this stage in pursuit of profits. Once you have submitted yourself to this period of time and to this process, you will be equipped to endure the normal and unavoidable periods when you get things wrong. That is where normal losses appear. They do not need to derail you, make you abandon your method, or cause you to question your entire approach. That is experience. Think about it. Understand this. No one believed I would become good at this. Not one family member told me I would make it this far. Not one friend. Not one coworker. No one comforted me when I failed and lost the equivalent of entire annual salaries in real money. No one told me, “Keep going, Dext3r.” Why would you expect others to cheer you on while you are doing what they are afraid to do themselves? You may actually succeed and remind them of the prison they willingly remain in, even though the door is wide open in front of them. Be confident. Stay determined. Trust yourself. It is the only way you get there.
