Exports to Europe declined due to logistical and political challenges, while exports to Asia surged. Notable increases were recorded in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan. Exports to India rose 7%, and exports to Serbia jumped ~33%. Defence exports were a standout performer. The defence sector alone set a separate record of $19.2B in 2025 – a 30% increase year-over-year and the fifth consecutive year of record-breaking sales. The Ministry of Economy has set a long-term strategic target of reaching $1T in exports within two decades.
