WHY THERE WAS NO VOTING ON CHIZ’S SUBPOENA RULING WATCH: The Senate impeachment court did not vote on Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero’s ruling on the prosecution’s subpoena requests for VP Sara Duterte’s financial records because no senator-judge challenged or appealed his decision. Impeachment court spokesperson Atty. Regie Tongol said Rule 6 of the Senate Impeachment Rules allows the presiding officer to resolve motions on his own unless he refers the matter to the impeachment court or a senator-judge appeals his ruling. Neither happened during Monday’s proceedings. | via @hannaaahty, https://t.co/9R0Mcay5im
