Banning cheaper, competitive Chinese open-source models is the wrong move. The real path to leadership is out-innovating them, building better, faster, more affordable models that win on merit. Instead, this hands US enterprises worse options and higher prices while Chinese labs keep shipping. Protectionism slows US down. Competition makes us stronger.
