I had grok pull data from FRED and run an exponential regression. He found a trend line with an r^2 value of .99. I had him extrapolate that ten years forward. $88.73 trillion is the projected debt at current trend. This is a purely statistical extrapolation of the historical exponential trend since 2000. It assumes the same growth dynamics continue unchanged and does not account for future fiscal policy, economic conditions, interest rates, legislation, or recessions. Then I asked "Do you think given current trends and the macro economic and geopolitics of our times the debt will be higher or lower than the data predicts?" His response? "Higher — likely materially higher than the ~$88.73 trillion statistical extrapolation." #bitcoin
