The MEV research arc keeps building. On July 30th, @get_optimum's Muriel Médard presents at Flashbots' MEV Workshop during SBC '26 at Stanford, the same venue where MEV research has been debated annually since 2022. The timing lines up with what the team has been publishing. The cross-slot MEV analysis across 33,137 slots showed that roughly 10% of the time, missed opportunities don't carry over to the next slot, they're simply lost, and those losses average 500x the median bid. The latency pricing paper with Gauntlet's Tarun Chitra built the economic framework for what a millisecond delay actually costs a proposer trying to capture that value. Stanford's MEV Workshop is where cryptography, mechanism design, P2P, and consensus researchers converge to set the next year's research agenda. Presenting fast propagation research there isn't a marketing stop. It's putting mump2p's core claim in front of the people who will scrutinize it most rigorously: that propagation speed isn't adjacent to MEV capture, it's one of the primary levers determining how much value the blockspace market actually realizes.
