This shouldn’t be controversial Too many people interpret store of value in the narrow sense of simply historical price It’s taken literally to apply to their individual scenario, rather than an asset class But the right to be a store of value asset isn’t earned overnight; it is demonstrated over a long period of time And, crucially, the key characteristics that determine whether or not something is a SoV or not need to extend in to the future This is where BTC falls down and ETH excels; relying on historic price alone to categorise something as a SoV or not is misguided
