MORNING BRIEF ☕️: S&P has decided against changing its index inclusion rules, rejecting a proposal that would have reduced the post-IPO waiting period from 12 months to 6 and relaxed profitability requirements for mega-cap companies. Under the current rules, even companies such as SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic, collectively valued at well over $1 trillion in private markets, would still need to satisfy the standard eligibility requirements before joining the S&P 500.
