Below is a continuation of my previous map that illustrates more closely the effect the regulations create on pricing. The economic proof is undeniable. Additionally, the following is the complete list of resources used in my research: 1- USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS): Used to anchor the total U.S. cattle and calves timeline, including the historic January 1 inventory estimates that track herd liquidations, heifer retention dips, and expansion phases 2- U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS): Specifically, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Beef and Veal. This provided the empirical basis for the percentage spikes (such as the ~9.2% and ~12.1% retail price inflation markers) that occur when supply tightens. 3- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): Used to trace the regulatory timeline of the Clean Water Act, specifically the 2003 Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) final rule revisions and the rolling implementations/proposals of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) definitions (2014 proposal, 2015 rule, and subsequent revisions) 4- Bureau of Land Management (BLM) & U.S. Forest Service (USFS): Used to identify the spatial public land grazing allotment frameworks established under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) and Public Rangelands Improvement Act. 5- The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM): Managed by the National Drought Mitigation Center, the USDA, and NOAA. This provided the historical timeline for peak decadal drought intensity markers (2002–2003, 2011–2013, and 2020–2023) to show where weather anomalies overlapped with herd liquidation phases. @BeefUSA @FarmBureau @usda_nass @EPA
