🪖 @CSIS, in collaboration with the @FDD, has released a report proposing the creation of a separate branch of the US military — the Cyber Force. Cyber Force would consolidate digital capabilities that are currently distributed across @US_CYBERCOM and other branches of the armed forces. According to the report’s authors, including former military officials, the new structure could achieve initial operational capability within 12 to 18 months. Experts estimate that the agency would require an initial budget of approximately $10B to $11B.
