Singapore's savings rate is unusually high - especially for a developed nation As a comparison, here are some of the Gross National Saving Rates: USA 🇺🇸 → 17% UK 🇬🇧 → 17.7% South Korea 🇰🇷 → 35.3% Japan 🇯🇵 → 30.1% Singapore 🇸🇬 → 47.2% Some may attribute this to the 'Asian' mentality which is why I included the likes of Korea and Japan But those who know about CPF, know that THIS is one of the reason behind the savings rate, and also, one of the foundation of the Singaporean economy Will write up a deeper dive in the next couple of days on what CPF does
