BTC dominance moving higher is not automatically bad for altcoin holders. Actually, it can be a good thing. Why? Because it shows BTC wants the spotlight. And in crypto, BTC is still the tide that lifts all boats. In a previous post, I mapped out where BTC.D could be heading and where it might eventually top out. The key idea is simple: BTC moves first. BTC gets attention. BTC pulls liquidity back into the market. Then BTC starts consolidating. That’s when alts usually start playing catch up. And historically, the real altseason fireworks tend to happen after BTC dominance peaks and starts dropping. Are we there yet? No. I think we’re still far from that. But seeing BTC.D move higher while BTC pushes up is not a bad thing. It may be part of the process. BTC first. Alts later. Then, if dominance finally rolls over… that’s when things can get interesting.
