BREAKING: Anthropic just launched Claude Opus 4.7 and it is already threatening multiple industries at once. Every time Anthropic releases a major update, a specific industry crashes. When Mythos leaked its cybersecurity capabilities last month, cyber stocks sold off across the board. When the Opus 4.7 design tool was reported two days ago, Figma, Adobe, Wix, and GoDaddy all fell 2-4% in a single session before the model even launched. Today the model is actually out. Opus 4.7 beats GPT-5.4 and Gemini 3.1 Pro across almost every benchmark. Agentic coding on SWE-bench Verified hit 87.6%. Financial analysis scored 64.4%, the highest of any model on that benchmark. Visual reasoning jumped from 69.1% to 82.1%. It can now see images at more than 3x the resolution of the previous version. So we have: - A model that scores highest on financial analysis benchmarks is a threat to financial research and analyst roles. - A model that produces professional interfaces, slides, and docs at 3x higher resolution is a threat to design software. - A model that handles long-running agentic tasks with less supervision is a threat to entire engineering workflows. The model that crashes industries every time it updates just got significantly more capable. Watch what crashes next.
