Marquette University professor emeritus David Krause recently wrote a paper on Bitcoin's wartime market regime and relationship with geopolitical risk: "The February 2026 conflict appears to represent a threshold event, one characterized by direct state-level military engagement and genuine oil supply disruption, conditions under which Bitcoin's safe-haven properties may be more likely to activate." Oil price movements now appear to precede Bitcoin's performance by roughly two trading days.
