Quantum Doomsday Clock just got updated. @quipnetwork runs it and the April numbers are getting real. Google, Ethereum Foundation and Stanford just showed they can break Bitcoin's ECDSA with under 500,000 qubits. Execution time is in minutes, faster than most transactions confirm. Another team did it with as few as 10,000 qubits using different hardware. This isn't theory anymore, people who built these systems are now explaining how to break them. Galaxy's report saying 66% of Bitcoin is safe? Throw it out, cause their assumptions were based on hour-long attack windows. That window just slammed shut. Quip has been warning about this for over a year. Their March 2028 estimate still stands. Probability is low, but not zero, any risk analyst would tell you to prepare. Good news is that Bitcoin will probably be fine, BIP-360 is moving, but if you're holding long term assets, you should be looking at post-quantum wallets now. Clock is ticking and Quip is building the solution while everyone else argues.
