The biggest Bitcoin fork in history may not be decided by Bitcoiners. @nic_carter thinks that if quantum forces the issue, the 10 to 20 most important custodians on the planet could make the call. "They could effectively say: we will only honor a fork where the historic coins are burned, period." At that point, the version backed by exchanges, ETFs, and custodians becomes canonical Bitcoin.
