Is Quantum Computing A Real Threat to Bitcoin? 🤔 Not possible today but in the future! It’s a discussion worth having. Quantum computing has the theoretical ability to break current cryptographic systems including the SHA-256 and ECDSA signatures used by Bitcoin. If a sufficiently powerful quantum machine ever becomes reality, it could: 🔸Derive private keys from public keys 🔸Compromise old exposed addresses 🔸Challenge current encryption standards But here’s the reality check 👇 Today’s quantum computers are nowhere near the scale required to break Bitcoin’s encryption. We’re talking millions of stable qubits and current systems are not even close. More importantly, $BTC is open-source. If quantum computing advances to that level, developers can implement quantum-resistant cryptography before it becomes a real threat. The bigger risk isn’t quantum, it’s underestimating Bitcoin’s ability to adapt! 🚀 #bitcoin #btc
