WuShuo has learned that the Bitcoin mining pool DMND is now fully open for registration to all miners. Previously, it completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit and now supports Stratum V2. DMND stated that this audit verified the security and compliance standards necessary for large-scale miners, while combining a simplified enterprise verification process with the feature “miners building their own block templates independently.” Stratum V2 offers a mechanism to enhance Bitcoin's censorship resistance, allowing miners to generate their own block templates when collaborating with pools that support this mechanism, and reduces the risk of hash power hijacking through end-to-end encryption.
