$ASTS busy chart but there's a lot of clues here. We broke below major support of $65 similar to September breakdown off a smaller but similar structure. RSI also bounced off the same level. We also have the MACD histogram flashing bullish divergence. The key now is getting back above $65 on a closing basis and defending that level from above. That would make the latest breakdown look like a bear trap setting up for stronger odds of a major low. Failing to reclaim $65 could keep us in a range and also open the door for a move to $50 area before another attempt to breakout. The wild card is midterms which opens the door for weakness from September into early November. If we can get a strong impulsive move and make new highs, then a midterms weakness trade could look like a retrace to a higher low. If no new high then I could see a double bottom, higher low, or divergent low (lower low coupled with indicators making higher lows). Lot's of variables makes it too difficult to fully map out where this lands in Q4. August should be a powerful month for high beta and give us better direction on what a Sept-late October trade could look like for ASTS. I believe the Korean market crash in many stocks has wiped out most if not nearly all the leverage that had major spillover effects into US momentum stocks. If that's the main culprit then we should see many momentum stocks have significant rallies during a 4-8 week period IMO. *NFA
