The World Will Become Simpler with AI It's interesting that many subjects rely on overcomplication to benefit a few incumbents, to the detriment of the rest of society. AI obliterates this model. Subjects like taxes, law, healthcare, medicine, and education (just to name a few) are built on overcomplicated rulesets that AI can understand with ease. The friction, complexity, and difficulty of understanding taxes, law, and healthcare are what necessitate tax accountants, lawyers, and long college degrees—all arguably wastes of time now that AI is here. AI doesn't care if the rules it must follow are 2 sentences or 2 million sentences. It can follow them with ease. Therefore, the institutions that have historically benefited from the friction of overcomplication—namely tax compliance, legal services, and higher education—have suddenly been rendered obsolete. It is thus my belief that due to AI these subjects will, over time, cease to be overcomplicated, because incumbent parties will no longer benefit from adding the friction and overcomplication. My guess is the trend will be toward simplification, over time, thanks to AI.
