🚨 The rsETH bridge from @KelpDAO appears to have been exploited for approximately $292 million. An attacker drained ~116,500 rsETH from Kelp DAO’s cross-chain bridge (built on LayerZero), equivalent to ~$292M, representing 18% of the total rsETH supply. The attacker’s wallet was funded via Tornado Cash, a common method to obscure transaction trails. Kelp responded within ~46 minutes by activating its “emergency pause,” which blocked two additional attempts. rsETH was being used as collateral on @aave, impacting users of the protocol. Aave responded by freezing rsETH on its lending market. The $AAVE token is declining toward $100.
