🚨 After @bgdlabs and @Aavechan, @chaoslabs has decided to leave @aave. And it’s costing them $5 million. They’re leaving for several reasons: 1. Key Aave contributors have departed, significantly increasing the workload and operational risk. 2. V4 expands the scope of the risk function and imposes heavier operational and legal constraints on an architecture they did not design and would not have designed this way. 3. For the past three years, they’ve managed Aave engagement at a loss. Even with a $1M increase, margins would remain negative.
