ZKsync will retire its ZKsync Lite network in 2026, shifting focus to ZKsync Era and Elastic Network. A migration schedule will be released in 2025, with Ethereum mainnet withdrawals unaffected during the transition. Launched in 2020, Lite served as a zk-rollup testbed before being replaced by more advanced solutions. In 2025, ZKsync faced two security incidents and received support from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Tradable also ran asset tokenization pilots on the platform. The network upgrade reflects ongoing Ethereum news developments in scaling solutions.
