Odaily Planet News: The Zcash Foundation officially announced that in response to the Electric Coin Company (ECC) ceasing operation of its DNS seed nodes on January 8, it has deployed five new DNS seed nodes in the United States and Europe. The newly deployed seed nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the U.S., as well as in Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe.

As of now, including the existing seed nodes, the Zcash Foundation is operating a total of six seed nodes, aiming to ensure reliable node discovery for users and improve the performance of wallet and node startups. In addition, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployment in other regions to further enhance coverage and reliability, while Shielded Labs is also working on deploying additional seed nodes.
