ZachXBT has raised concerns about Arthur Hayes’ position trading in tokens such as WLD, NEAR, HYPE, and ZEC, noting rapid exits following public endorsements. Hayes claims he sold at market price once his targets were met. Critics question whether he accessed liquidity zones ahead of his followers. The debate underscores tensions surrounding exit liquidity and the influence of key figures on market movements.

ChainCatcher report: On-chain detective ZachXBT posted questioning Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, for frequently changing his views and selling tokens in a short period, asking how much exit liquidity he had garnered from his followers in the past few days. ZachXBT noted that prior to WLD, Arthur Hayes had expressed bullish views on tokens such as NEAR, HYPE, and ZEC. In his most recent move, Hayes quickly liquidated his position after publicly and strongly advocating for Worldcoin (WLD) and setting price targets far above the current market level. In response, Arthur Hayes stated that he simply sold his assets at market price to willing buyers in line with his trading targets, and if the price had continued rising, critics would have deemed his sale a mistake—this time, he simply got it right. ZachXBT subsequently posted again, highlighting Hayes’s previous bullish statements on WLD, and questioned his rapid exit after loudly promoting the token, sparking community debate over the influence of opinion leaders on markets and the issue of “exit liquidity.” Previously, Arthur Hayes had stated that he had fully exited his WLD position, citing that the price movement was “in the wrong direction,” and announcing his departure from the trade.
