In accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and platform rules, financial certifications are issued exclusively to institutions holding compliant licenses, and the usernames of certified professional accounts must strictly match the actual business scope of the certified entity; false or misleading information cannot be used to obtain certification badges. Over the past week, Xiaohongshu has taken action against more than 1,500 non-compliant financial professional accounts and will continue to comprehensively strengthen its corporate verification mechanisms, conducting regular patrols and enforcement actions targeting existing accounts. According to staff, since May, Xiaohongshu has removed a total of 31,000 accounts involved in financial violations or unlicensed financial marketing activities. This includes the removal of 539 posts and 146 comments related to illegal inducements for cross-border investments; and the removal of 141 posts and the freezing of 132 related products tied to the unauthorized resale of foreign investment bank research reports. Additionally, the platform has addressed over 130 other suspected violations, including misleading financial marketing content related to gold and promotional activities by overseas platforms operating within China.
