WSPN, a stablecoin infrastructure and Web3 payment company, has launched W Agent, a payment module designed for the AI agent economy. The tool enables autonomous AI agents to manage on-chain payments from discovery to settlement. Built on W Checkout, it supports stablecoin transactions within agent workflows, including payments for API calls and compute power. The system provides multi-chain settlement and a "human-in-the-loop" mechanism for compliance. This update brings new AI + crypto developments and underscores progress in on-chain innovation.

BlockBeats news: On May 15, stablecoin infrastructure and Web3 payments company WSPN announced the launch of its new product, W Agent—a payment capability module designed for the AI agent economy, enabling autonomous AI agents to complete end-to-end on-chain payments from product discovery and ordering to settlement.

WSPN stated that W Agent is built on its existing payment stack, W Checkout, enabling the embedding of stablecoin payment capabilities into AI agent workflows, allowing agents to execute transactions such as purchases, API calls, and computational resource payments on behalf of users or businesses, with settlements made in stablecoins.

The system is fundamentally designed as an integrated "payment + settlement" solution, supporting multi-chain settlement and incorporating an enterprise-grade human-in-the-loop approval mechanism to meet compliance and risk management requirements.

Designed to separate order orchestration from on-chain settlement, W Agent employs AI agents for order discovery and workflow coordination, while fund settlement is executed on-chain via W Checkout, reducing custodial risk and enhancing auditability.

WSPN emphasizes that most AI Agent payment solutions currently on the market often cover only the payment side or a single-chain environment, or lack enterprise-grade approval workflows, while W Agent aims to strike a balance between multi-chain support, bidirectional transactions (payments and settlements), and compliance controls.
