World has launched AgentKit for the x402 protocol update, enabling AI agents to verify human-backed identities via World ID. The tool allows users to grant platforms access to their verified identity while preserving privacy. The x402 protocol, developed by Coinbase, supports AI and crypto news and agent transactions, with V2 processing over 100 million payments.

Odaily Planet Daily reports: Today, World, a Web3 identity solution backed by Sam Altman, announced the launch of AgentKit, a developer toolkit for the x402 protocol. This toolkit enables users verified by World to authorize their World ID to AI agents, allowing the agents to prove to websites and platforms that they are “supported by real humans while preserving privacy.” World ID is a cryptographic system that verifies a user’s unique identity. With AgentKit, users’ autonomous AI agents can demonstrate their authenticity to platforms when performing actions such as payments and accessing services. The x402 protocol, developed by Coinbase for AI agent payments and transactions, has processed over 100 million payments since the release of its V2 version. (The Block)
