ChainCatcher report: WLFI has officially launched the AgentPay SDK, an open-source, self-custodial AI agent payment infrastructure built on USD1. The AgentPay SDK enables AI agents to hold, transfer, and make payments using USD1 on EVM chains. It operates in a self-custodial model, ensuring private keys remain stored locally on the user’s device with no data uploaded to any platform. It also incorporates a policy engine that requires all transactions to pass predefined rule checks before signing, and supports manual approval for transactions exceeding specified thresholds, with end-to-end encryption. Functionally, the SDK is compatible with leading AI tools and agent systems such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Goose, and OpenClaw. It includes a built-in Bitrefill plugin, enabling direct purchases of gift cards, eSIMs, and prepaid cards. Additionally, the AgentPay SDK is open-source under the MIT license with no platform fees. The release notes state that while traditional stablecoins primarily serve existing financial systems, USD1 is specifically designed for the next generation of monetary use cases driven by AI agents, positioning itself as the economic operating layer for autonomous AI systems.
