WhiteBIT, Europe's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has entered into a five-year partnership agreement with FC Barcelona, announced to Finbold on Monday, April 27.
Under the agreement, WhiteBIT becomes the official cryptocurrency exchange partner of the club, extending its partnership to FC Barcelona’s men’s first team, women’s team, and basketball team, as well as collaborating with the Barça Innovation Hub.
Both companies stated that the partnership aims to go beyond brand awareness and develop practical cryptocurrency applications that can be promoted in the sports industry.
According to the announcement, this partnership will focus on initiatives related to fan engagement, digital education, and interactive experiences to make crypto tools more accessible and usable for global fan communities.
Barcelona Football Club CEO Manel del Río commented on the partnership:
Continuing our partnership with WhiteBIT over the next five years reinforces FC Barcelona’s commitment to forming strategic alliances with leading global companies. This renewal highlights the strength and appeal of our brand, as well as our ability to connect with innovative sectors—in this case, the cryptocurrency industry, a rapidly growing field with significant strategic potential over the coming years.
Vladimir Nosov, President and Founder of Group W (which includes WhiteBIT), added:
Our mission is to bring cryptocurrency technology to people around the world, enabling mass adoption. By partnering with Barcelona, we’re bringing cryptocurrency from the industry into everyday life, creating experiences that millions of fans can truly use. This is the real way to achieve cryptocurrency adoption.

As part of the partnership, WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona will launch a WhiteBIT Nova debit card themed around FC Barcelona. This customized card will allow fans to make everyday payments using cryptocurrency while showcasing the club’s visual identity.
In addition to the design update, the card will include fan-centric benefits, with more features and partner advantages expected to be rolled out as the collaboration deepens.
This new agreement builds on the existing partnership between the two companies, which began three years ago. The announcement states that this renewal will expand previous initiatives in Web3 technology applications, fan engagement, and digital events into longer-term projects with deeper integration into FC Barcelona’s ecosystem.
