As reported by Bijié Wǎng, Warner Music Group has reached a settlement with AI music startup Udio over a copyright lawsuit and signed a licensing agreement for a generative AI music platform to launch in 2026. The subscription service will allow users to create remixes and songs using participating artists' voices and works, with Warner ensuring proper attribution and compensation. Major record labels had previously sued Udio and its competitor Suno last year, the latter of which recently raised $250 million at a $2.45 billion valuation.
