In June of this year, it secured a $60 million Series B round led by FinSight Ventures, and in March, it closed a $40 million Series A round led by Spice Expeditions, including $20 million in debt provided by Architect Capital. Several U.S. endowments and Latin American investment firms participated. Founded in 2022, Cashea provides “buy now, pay later” services to Venezuelan consumers with limited access to long-term credit, allowing users to make an initial payment via app or in-store QR code scanning and then pay interest-free installments. The company reports having processed over 110 million transactions, served more than 10 million accounts, and partnered with 40,000 merchants. The new funds will be used to expand its credit offerings and support post-disaster reconstruction.
