As per CoinEdition, Uzbekistan will regulate stablecoins as a means of retail payments starting January 2026. The country will launch pilot projects under a regulatory sandbox to facilitate stablecoin use via distributed ledger technology. The National Agency for Promising Projects (NAPP) and the Central Bank will oversee the development. Uzbekistan also plans to allow tokenized real-world assets and introduce an open banking system by September 2026.
