University of Namibia Launches Africa’s First Master’s Program in Blockchain Technology

As reported by Bitcoin.com, the University of Namibia (UNAM) has launched a Master of Science in Blockchain Technology in partnership with the Africa Blockchain Institute (ABI). The program aims to position Namibia as a hub for blockchain research and talent development in Africa. The initiative aligns with national efforts to integrate blockchain into public and private sectors and follows UNAM’s ongoing push to incorporate emerging technologies into its curriculum since 2022. The curriculum includes blockchain architecture, smart contract development, cybersecurity, and decentralized systems. Applications are now open for the first cohort.
