U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending November 22 were 216,000, lower than the expected 225,000

According to Odaily Planet Daily, the number of initial jobless claims in the U.S. for the week ending November 22 was 216,000, the lowest since the week ending April 12, 2025, compared to expectations of 225,000 and a revised 222,000 for the previous week.

The four-week moving average of initial jobless claims for the week ending November 22 was 223,750, revised from 224,250 for the previous week.

Continuing jobless claims for the U.S. for the week ending November 15 were 1.96 million, lower than the expected 1.969 million and a revised 1.953 million for the previous week. (Jinshi)
