In accordance with BitJie Wang, a U.S. court sentenced Travis Ford, 36, to five years in prison for leading a $9.4 million cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. Ford, CEO of Wolf Capital Trading LLC, raised nearly $10 million from around 28,000 investors and was also ordered to pay over $1 million in forfeiture and $170,000 in restitution. He admitted to promoting unachievable returns and misappropriating funds for personal use. The case highlights a growing trend of crypto-related fraud, with similar incidents reported in Thailand, New York, and Detroit in recent months.
