As reported by Coindesk, two key Trump administration nominees for U.S. financial regulatory agencies—Mike Selig for CFTC chairman and Travis Hill for FDIC chairman—are advancing in the Senate confirmation process. Senate Majority Leader John Thune initiated a cloture process to fast-track confirmation of over 80 nominees, including Selig and Hill, with a vote expected as soon as Thursday. Selig, if confirmed, would become the sole member of the CFTC commission, while Hill, already serving as acting FDIC chairman, has taken a crypto-friendly stance and addressed concerns over 'debanking' in the industry.
