Treehouse and Euler have launched the first fixed-rate lending market in DeFi, marking a significant development in interest rate innovation. The market uses TESR as its on-chain benchmark, enabling users to lock in rates for 30-day cycles using tETH or wstETH as collateral. The tETH/WETH and wstETH/WETH markets are governed by KPK, ensuring institutional-grade security. This token launch introduces a new option for DeFi users to hedge against interest rate volatility.

According to Huoxing Finance, on June 4, Treehouse announced that its on-chain benchmark rate, TESR (Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate), has been integrated with Euler, launching the first fixed-rate lending market in DeFi anchored to a benchmark rate. Users can borrow WETH using tETH or wstETH as collateral, with the borrowing rate locked at the beginning of each monthly cycle based on the 30-day consensus rate of TESR and remaining fixed for the entire cycle, eliminating uncertainty caused by fluctuating lending rates. The initial markets launched include tETH/WETH and wstETH/WETH. These markets are professionally managed and risk-controlled by the DeFi vault management firm KPK to provide institutional-grade security and liquidity. Treehouse stated that this initiative offers DeFi users a new fixed-rate lending option, aiming to reduce exposure to borrowing cost volatility and further advance the development of on-chain interest rate markets.
