Ethereum news emerged as Tom Lee highlighted ETH’s 24% monthly gain, outperforming DRAM by 72 percentage points. DRAM ETFs declined 38% over the same period. Lee attributed the movement to AI and crypto news trends, noting a shift in AI infrastructure spending toward application layers. He has long viewed Ethereum as a core component of digital infrastructure in the AI era.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine and Co-Founder of Fundstrat, said that the relative performance of assets related to the "AI downstream" sector continues to strengthen, with Ethereum (ETH) recently showing significant outperformance compared to the DRAM (dynamic random-access memory) sector.

Tom Lee disclosed data showing that over the past month, ETH’s performance advantage over DRAM widened to 7,200 basis points (72 percentage points). During the same period, ETH’s price rose approximately 24%, while DRAM-related ETFs fell about 38%.

Tom Lee believes that as AI infrastructure investment gradually shifts from chips and computing supply chains to applications and digital infrastructure, certain "downstream AI" assets are undergoing market repricing.

As a market participant long-term bullish on the Ethereum ecosystem, Tom Lee has previously emphasized that, with the growth of stablecoins, tokenized assets, and on-chain financial applications, Ethereum could become a key component of the digital economy infrastructure in the AI era. This data comparison shows that the performance divergence between crypto assets and traditional AI hardware supply chains is widening.
