BlockBeats news, on March 10, according to Fortune, the organizers of Token2049 Dubai stated that despite escalating conflicts in the Middle East, this one of the largest cryptocurrency conferences of the year will proceed as planned this spring.
An event speaker said: “Token2049 Dubai will proceed as planned, with all preparations fully underway in advance of the late April event. Registration indicates the event will sell out, and the exhibition venue has been fully confirmed. Our preparations with the venue and partners are on track.”
Previously, due to escalating conflicts in the Middle East, numerous conferences and sporting events have been postponed or canceled. Following last week’s U.S.-Israel strike on Iran, parts of Dubai’s main airport were damaged, with missile debris landing on the Palm Jumeirah artificial island, injuring four people. Token2049 Dubai is regarded as one of the largest annual cryptocurrency events, with this year’s speakers including Eric Trump, son of the U.S. President, Shayne Coplan, CEO of Polymarket, and Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. Last year, the event attracted over 15,000 attendees.
