According to Cointribune, Thai authorities have ordered Worldcoin to delete 1.2 million iris scans collected from users in the country. The National Economic and Social Development Council cited violations of the local data protection law, leading to the immediate suspension of the company's operations. Worldcoin, co-founded by Sam Altman, claims it complies with local regulations and maintains that it does not store biometric data centrally. The WLD token has dropped 6% in a week and 70% over the past year.
