Citing PANews, Swiss compliant crypto bank Amina Bank, in collaboration with Deutsche Börse Group's Crypto Finance Group, has completed a pilot for real-time fiat settlement between Swiss banks using Google Cloud's Universal Ledger. The trial, leveraging distributed ledger technology (DLT), validated modernization potential in cross-border payments, multi-currency settlements, and POS systems, while maintaining full compliance with existing regulatory frameworks. Amina Bank's CEO noted the trial demonstrated that technological innovation and financial stability can coexist, offering a practical model for global financial system transformation. Crypto Finance Group, as the pilot's currency operator, set transaction rules and oversaw compliance. Google Cloud executives stated the infrastructure can be integrated into banking core systems to provide near-real-time payment services. The next phase will expand to consumer POS integration and cross-border payments.
