The trial, leveraging distributed ledger technology (DLT), validated modernization potential in cross-border payments, multi-currency settlements, and POS systems, while maintaining full compliance with existing regulatory frameworks. Amina Bank's CEO noted the trial demonstrated that technological innovation and financial stability can coexist, offering a practical model for global financial system transformation. Crypto Finance Group, as the pilot's currency operator, set transaction rules and oversaw compliance. Google Cloud executives stated the infrastructure can be integrated into banking core systems to provide near-real-time payment services. The next phase will expand to consumer POS integration and cross-border payments.
