According to Bijié Wǎng, Tom Zschach, Chief Innovation Officer at Swift, has joined the ongoing debate around XRP. Zschach, known for criticizing the cryptocurrency, previously compared using private tokens as 'bridge currencies' to using fax machines, a clear jab at XRP. He also questioned Ripple's ability to disrupt the financial system, claiming banks would not adopt XRP tokens. Zschach stated on Twitter that 'tokenization is not a feature upgrade,' defining it as the moment finance stops creating confusion and starts synchronizing the truth. He cited Larry Fink and Rob Goldstein, who argue that tokenization represents the next major shift in market infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ripple continues to expand its tokenization business through partnerships, with the XRP Ledger (XRPL) becoming a top chain for real-world assets (RWA). In September, Ripple and Securitize launched a smart contract allowing holders of BUIDL and VBILL to exchange shares for Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin.
