BlockBeats news: On February 25, Stripe released its 2025 annual letter, stating that despite a significant drop in Bitcoin’s price, stablecoin payment volumes doubled to approximately $400 billion (60% of which were B2B), and the transaction volume of Bridge, Stripe’s acquired stablecoin platform, increased more than fourfold. Through acquisitions and the launch of Tempo, Stripe continues to strongly promote stablecoin adoption, viewing it as a core driver of future monetary flows.
In addition, Stripe notes that in 2025, agentic commerce will enter the phase of real-world experimentation and development. Stripe, in collaboration with OpenAI, is co-developing the open standard Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), designed to establish a shared technical language between AI platforms and merchants to enable programmatic commerce flows and Instant Checkout. Stripe has also launched the Agentic Commerce Suite, describing these initiatives as infrastructure with "generational impact potential," emphasizing that universal interoperability and open design are critical to their success.
