火星财经消息,May 12: L2 network Lisk stated that the frequently cited figure of "hundreds of trillions of dollars in stablecoin transaction volume" largely does not represent genuine payment activity, but rather trading, arbitrage, and automated on-chain transfers. According to data cited from McKinsey and Artemis Analytics, the real payment volume of stablecoins in 2025 is projected to be approximately $390 billion, broken down as follows: B2B payments: ~$226 billion (58%) Salaries and remittances: ~$90 billion (23%) Capital market-related payments: ~$8 billion (2%) Other payment use cases: ~$66 billion (17%) Additionally, B2B stablecoin payments grew by 733% year-over-year; however, this still represents only about 0.01% of the global B2B payment market, which is approximately $1.6 quadrillion. Lisk believes this indicates that while stablecoin payments are growing rapidly, there remains significant room for them to penetrate the mainstream global payment system.

According to Lisk’s analysis, stablecoin transaction volume is primarily driven by trading activity, not real-world payments. Reports from MarsBit indicate that figures often cited in the trillions include trading, arbitrage, and automated flows. Actual stablecoin payment volume in 2025 is projected at $39 billion, with B2B payments at $226 billion (58%), salaries and remittances at $90 billion (23%), and other uses at $66 billion (17%). B2B stablecoin payments increased 733% year-over-year but still represent just 0.01% of the $16 quadrillion global B2B market.
